I suppose it does a decent job, but stay away from the ones with the Interlocking Power Supply. I had done a lot of research on this product before buying it, and there were some conflicts between whether or not the Halo 3 Edition had the Falcon Chip. I've had mine for roughly a year and a half, and use the HDMI to connect to a HDTV. Those new Temperature Sensor Intercoolers constrict airflow once it decides to turn off, which is backing up the heat inside your Xbox. The HDMI Port is absolutely a must for anyone who owns a HDTV, the RCA Hook-ups for HDTV just doesn't do your games justice. Also on a last note, when Buying games be sure to look at Resolution Sizes on the back of the Game Case. It's locked up a few times, but when dealing with any hardware you have the potential for problems.Overall I am satisfied with my purchase, and besides the current Modern Warfare 2 Edition Xbox; I wouldn't switch it for any other version.
It would have jacked up the price of the Halo 3 Xbox, much like the Modern Warfare 2 Edition price. Mine unfortunately did not come with the Falcon Chip, but has yet to come to the Red Ring of Death. there is a known problem to cause overheating issues.Halo 3 did not come with the system, but that's because of the Halo 3 Bundles that were sold separately. I do dislike that I don't have the Falcon Chip, and if you add on an Extra Intercooler it could cause some overheating issues. If you do add on an extra Intercooler, my suggestion would be to get one that constantly runs and is powered by it's own supply. If you want a Limited Edition Xbox, I'd recommend this one because it looks good, plays good, and comes with everything needed: 1 Wireless Controller, Plug and Play Charge Kit, Chargeable Black Battery, Halo 3 Edition Headset, and of course the Xbox itself.
If a game doesn't clearly say 1080i, or 1080p, then it will never get to that excellent quality.
awesome product. if you're a fan of the halo series you gotta get one of these
Headset, the play and charge kit, the Halo 3 Special ed. I ordered a xbox 360 Halo 3 edition and the claims that were made included everything original to the box. Gamer Pics and Theme, the HD AV cable and the LIVE Silver Membership. It was however extremely deficient of the accessories. As advertized, it should have included the Halo 3 Special Ed. The game was sold seperately, however how does someone live with themselves after ripping someone off so badly. Have fun person because you now have transferred some major bad karma onto yourself.
If I have to send in my Xbox for repair AGAIN after I get it back, I'm saving my money for a PS3. I do not understand why after years of updating the Xbox 360 so many times that the console's designers cannot fix simple problems like this.
The HDMI option included in this version made games look crystal clear and very sharp. A few weeks ago I received my Halo 3 Edition Xbox 360, and it shipped fast and was great.
After a week or two of flawless gaming on my new Xbox, however, I suddenly received an "internal system failure" message and was forced to send my precious new Xbox back for repair. The colors of this special edition Xbox looked awesome and were nice to show off to your friends, and the included Halo controller and headset completed the look.
I bought this product along with an Xbox Live Gold Membership, and I immediately began downloading maps, themes, and game demos from the very handy Xbox Live Marketplace, as well as enjoying top-of-the-line online gaming. I expect my Xbox to be back in 2-3 weeks, and I can only pray to God that this time it will last for a while.
End of story. All in all, I found the Halo 3 Edition Xbox 360 to be thriving with great features and impressive online play, but I am very disappointed in the product's failure after very mild use.
This is way better than a normal black one. Ain't nothing like it. The Xbox 360 Halo Edition is perfect for any Halo loving game girl like me. It's kinda special in a way. Green and everything. Works great, better than any other Xbox on the plant I like to think, but maybe that's just me. I really like it and I think you will to so I definitely recommend it. Very high quality definition and 20 gb hard drive, all nice to me.
